Filipa Pestana – Product Designer with a Passion for Cooking

Filipa’s creativity doesn’t stop at designing digital products. Her passion for cooking mirrors her professional expertise, as she balances flavours, textures, and colours with precision.

"Cooking, for me, is all about balance," Filipa explains. "It’s like designing a product, but with ingredients instead of pixels!"

We love this mindset and meticulous approach, which ensures her dishes are as beautifully crafted as the user experiences she designs.

Joana Paiva – Quality Assurance Engineer & Master Baker

Joana brings her eye for detail from the QA department to her baking endeavours. She relishes the precision required in crafting croissants and elaborate cakes, where even the smallest adjustment can make a big difference.

"Baking, like quality assurance, is all about getting every little detail right," Joana shares. "And there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of a perfectly baked batch of cookies!"

Her love for precision makes her a standout in both her roles. Sounds like a sweet success to us!

Athletic Spirit: Fueling the Drive to Succeed

Physical activities like running and basketball not only keep our MB.ioneers fit but also sharpen their focus and resilience. These hobbies are a testament to the power of discipline and determination.

Mariana Finkenauer – Experience Designer & Basketball Aficionado

Basketball is more than a hobby for Mariana — it’s a way of life. Originally from Costa Rica, she has played basketball all over the world and now competes in the German league, bringing lessons of teamwork, resilience, and growth to her work as an experience designer.

"Basketball has taught me so much about resilience and teamwork," she. says. "It’s a great way to grow as a person, both on and off the court."

Her passion for the game shines through in her team-oriented mindset!

João Peres – Office Coordinator & Marathon Enthusiast

When João isn’t keeping the office running smoothly, he’s hitting the road as a marathon runner. For him, running isn’t just about fitness; it’s a mental reset and a reminder of the value of perseverance.

"Running clears my mind and gives me time to focus," says JP. "It's a reminder that with hard work and dedication, you can reach any goal."

That determination is definitely as inspiring in the workplace as it is on the track!

Rita Moura – Experience Designer & Musician

Rita’s passion for music infuses her work with energy and emotion. Either playing guitar or performing with her band, she finds music to be an essential outlet for self-expression.

"Music is my way to express emotions I can’t put into words," she says. "When I’m playing, I feel free, and that energy feeds back into my work. Plus, there’s nothing like the feeling of a live performance!"

We couldn’t agree more — there's something truly magical about the connection between creativity and passion.

Beatriz Mendes – Scrum Master & Ceramics Lover

Beatriz finds solace in shaping clay into beautiful ceramic pieces. This hands-on hobby is a therapeutic counterbalance to her role in leading sprints.

"Creating something with my hands is incredibly rewarding," Batriz says. "It’s a reminder that every project, whether it's in ceramics or software, takes patience and care."

Charru Mahajan – Product Designer & Abstract Artist

"Art is a form of self-expression for me," she says. "It’s a chance to take a break from screens and immerse myself in something more tactile."
